Aspiration.

I’m trying to get more frequent with my blog posts because I think it’s so important to keep creating content and building PinkSars. Sometimes I find it hard to sit myself down and plan out outfit posts & look book’s, simply because life just gets in the way.

Hello loves,

Hope you’re having a lovely weekend. I’m trying to get more frequent with my blog posts because I think it’s so important to keep creating content and building PinkSars. Sometimes I find it hard to sit myself down and plan out outfit posts & look book’s, simply because life just gets in the way. But I really want to grow my brand & turn PinkSars into something I’m really proud of, as does any aspiring blogger! With that said and done, today’s look is very simple and true to my own personal style. I adore this khaki ribbed top from H&M as it’s so basic, the color is so beautiful though! I paired it with this mid length denim skirt from Cath Kidston, a denim mid length skirt is something I’ve been after for quite some time so when I stumbled across this on a sale rack in the Kildare Outlet I couldn’t walk away from it! I finished the look with my Doc Marten Patent shoes, they add such a quirky, individual feel to any look! Also, shout out to the Limerick City Gallery of Art who kindly let me take photos there today, such a quirky unique spot! Hope you loves enjoyed, till next time.

Hello beauties,

Happiness is… Sparkle & Fashion. This is a super simply outfit post today. I felt very inspired by the amazing weather from the last few weeks and wanted to create a look festival inspired. I’m hoping to go to a festival or two this summer so I drew a lot of my inspiration from my Instagram feed! My makeup is simply & glowy, I went over the top on my MAC soft and gentle highlighter to make this look pop, along with Barry M dust! I picked up these face gems from Claire’s and they’re so cute! My dress is from Boohoo and I love a good pop of colour, especially if you’re going to an outdoor concert or single day festival! Hope you enjoyed this look, till next time check out my Instagram & Facebook

Pathway.

Ever question what you’re doing? Whether it’s blogging, working, a friendship or relationship you just wonder, is it all worth it?! I’ve been feeling that way with my blog on and off for some time now. I feel the pressure to dress a certain way and wear particular clothes to get more followers causes such increasing pressure on fashion bloggers nowadays.

Hello loves,

Ever question what you’re doing? Whether it’s a new job, blogging or something you’re passionate about, is it all worth it?! I’ve been feeling that way with blogging on and off for some time now. I’m always looking at fellow bloggers with the ’20k’ worth of Instagram followers and just thinking, will I be able to do the same thing and reach that many people in the world?! But the thing is, we all have our own paths in life. Not one single person will have the same life as you or even success as you. It’s really a case of reassuring yourself that, whatever content you create and put out there is important & if it brings you happiness, then go for it. Wherever blogging and the path that I’m on takes me right now, I’m excited! With all that in mind, I decided to dress girly but edgy because it’s a style I love! I’ve linked all the outfit details below for you lovelies. Till next time loves.

Basics.

So today I wanted to share with you some staple pieces in my wardrobe that I just cannot live without. I’ve always been a fan of minimalism and basics so I’m forever growing my basics in my wardrobe.

DSC_1462

Hello lovelies,

So today I wanted to share with you some staple pieces in my wardrobe that I just cannot live without. I’ve always been a fan of minimalism so I’m forever growing my basics in my wardrobe. I think its important to build a good basic wardrobe because in the long run that’s whats going to last the longest and easily transitions into each season. So lets get into the look!

My shoes are getting their fair run around as I’ve hardly ever taken them off my feet. Until I finally invest in the real Nike AirMax these Penny‘s trainers for €9 are the perfect dupes. They’re such a perfect basic for the wardrobe, I think. Black will never go out of fashion and besides a staple LBD is a Black skirt and this cotton one from Zara is so comfortable and is a very stylish basic.

Denim is a great basic that you can dress up or down and play around with, I picked up my denim skirt from Penny‘s but they’re all over the place at the moment coming into summer! Last but not least, a leather jacket; I just think leather jackets are so timeless and like this one from Zara they can be very playful and versatile with colouring! Hope you enjoyed my basic look book, until next week lovelies.

Lucy’s Look ✗2.

So for my second look I went for something quite different in terms of style for me. That’s one of my favourite things about Lucy’s Lounge, you can find everything and anything in there to style!

DSC_1891

Hello loves,

So for my second look I went for something quite different in terms of style for me. That’s one of my favourite things about Lucy’s Lounge, you can find everything and anything in there to style! Lucy’s is so versatile in style and diverse in what you find on their rails! From accessories to clothes, I promise that there isn’t a look or piece that you won’t find!

For my second look I decided to do something a little different, I was instantly drawn to this fringed waist coat. Fringe is always a prominent detail for the summer season that really never goes out of style, no matter what year it is fringe always creeps back into our wardrobes! Another trend that’s taken street style by storm is logo’ed t shirts, they’re so simple but add a real retro feel to a look! The pants were an obvious choice for me, big print and a nude tone. I feel these pants are very retro and just tie the whole look together while adding a real bohemian feel. Then to top it off, sunglasses and by god are these gorgeous; all their sunglasses are €10 in store and the selection that Lucy’s have is just crazy!

You can shop this look on the Lucy’s Lounge ASOS Marketplace or walk into the store! Hope you enjoyed both my looks from Lucy’s, I love collaborating with such a unique store and can’t wait to share one last look book with you lovelies. Make sure you follow Lucy’s on Facebook and Instagram, Till next time’.

Lucys Lookbook ✗1.

I’m back and I am beyond excited to share this look with you! If you hadn’t guessed already from my social media accounts I collaborated with Lucy’s Lounge in Dublin which is located in the heart of Temple Bar.

Hello beauties,

I’m back and I am beyond excited to share this look with you! If you hadn’t guessed already from my social media accounts I collaborated with Lucy’s Lounge in Dublin which is located in the heart of Temple Bar. This store is just amazing, it’s not just a shop with clothes but an experience. Lucy’s are catching onto a major trend where by they upcyclye their clothes and give them new life. Lucy’s takes a lot of inspiration from Alice in Wonderland and you can sense it from the moment you walk through those pink doors! It’s a vintage wonderland specializing in denim jackets, shell jackets, dresses, 70’s, 80’s Men and women’s vintage. In store they also have a thrift room and trend led vintage room. My experience of Lucy’s Lounge was incredible, I love shopping in a store that has character and that’s exactly what Lucy’s have; it’s not just a case of picking up clothing and paying for them Lucy’s Lounge brings the clothes to life! I want to give a  Huge thank you to Max who arranged for me and ‘the crew’ to come up and shoot!

For my first look the dress that I have on is Calvin Klein vintage, it was in a rather large size so a threw this gorgeous suede fringed detailed jacket over it. I felt like going to a festival in this outfit which you completely could. The pieces are each so stand offish on their own but together very versatile and just work! Can’t wait to share my second look with you lovelies & a very exciting piece of content! Make sure to follow Lucy’s Lounge on Facebook and Instagram! They’re also on ASOS Marketplace so you can shop this look there. Keep you eyes peeled for my next lookbook from Lucy’s.

Getaway ✘ 2.

Hope you’d a good week and soaked up the sun! So where was I this time? Well I didn’t take a plane to get there but, after a 3 hour bus/car drive I arrived in one of my favourite counties, Wicklow.

Hello lovelies,

Hope you’re having a good week and are soaking up the sun! So where was I this time? Well I didn’t take a plane to get there but, after a 3 hour bus/car drive I arrived in one of my favourite counties, Wicklow. It was so lovely to put my phone down and just enjoy a getaway, sometimes you just need a break from the routine of everyday life and Wicklow is a place that resonates relaxation & adventure for me. The first time I was there was last year with my boyfriend (it’s his home town) and we decided to mark the year by heading back there again for a few days.

When it comes to weekend getaways I love to keep it casual and comfortable and one thing you can never go wrong with is a bomber. They’ve really come back on trend this year and although they’re a simple piece they really add character to an outfit. God bless these runners, they’ve really been through alot this weekend but for €9 from Penny’s, they’re a must have (if you can’t afford the real thing). Make sure you’re following me on snapchat so I can take you away with me on these little getaways and adventures, @pinksars. Till’ next time loves.

Festival Must-Haves.

FINALLY summer is fast approaching and festival season is on our horizons. I have to say despite my ridiculously pale skin (that burns within two minutes of standing in the sun) I love the sun & summer weather.

FINALLY summer is fast approaching and festival season is on our horizons. I have to say despite my ridiculously pale skin (that burns within two minutes of standing in the sun) I love the sun & summer weather. There’s nothing better than sun, a good concert and ice cold beer.

I went to Little Green Cars in the Milk Market last weekend with the girls and as the weather was unbelievable I wore this cute floral play-suit from New Look; I teamed it with this cotton fedora from Penny’s, choker and because the evenings can get cold I brought a khaki bomber with me!

DSC_1346DSC_1356 2

With all that in mind I wanted to share with you lovelies some of the things I cannot live without at a concert or festival. If I could I think I’d bring the kitchen sink with me but these are necessities for me personally.

  1. Dry Shampoo – It’s honestly any girls best friend and I love this one from Superdrug, one of the girls in the office mentioned it and my god is it amazing! It creates so much volume and makes your hair look like it’s freshly washed; which is what you need at a festival! DSC_0091
  2. Makeup Setting Spray – One spritz of this all over your face and you’ll be set for the day! I hate doing my makeup to sweat it off at a concert and I swear by this cheap setting spray from Penny’s! DSC_0092
  3. Mouth Freshener Spray – When you’re at a concert or festival it’s never a bad idea to carry this handy in your bag! Good replacement of chewing gum or mints.DSC_0096
  4. Bag Pack – I thrifted this bag a few years back and love it for concerts! It’s really light and easy to throw on my back while fitting everything in it. Plus these type of bag packs are really on trend at the moment.DSC_0072
  5. Sun Cream – If you’re any way like me than sun cream is a must, I just burn in an instant so I can’t leave the house during the sunny weather without sun cream plus it’s so important to protect your skin! (It’s normally factor 50+)DSC_0085
  6. Flower Crown – I mean it’s summer, you have to hahaDSC_0097

Another great thing to bring to a concert is a portable phone charger! You can pick them up in Penny’s at the moment for €3.50, so handy!

Who is PinkSars?

‘m always going through my blog and seeing what I can do to improve it and one thing that stands out to me is, do my readers know who PinkSars is?

DSC_1423

Hello lovelies,

I’m always going through my blog and seeing what I can do to improve it and one thing that stands out to me is, do my readers know who PinkSars is? So with this weekly outfit post I wanted to tell you lovelies a little bit about why I decided to set up my blog PinkSars and about my style.

Blogging was something I started in 2015 as I needed something positive in my life and to focus all my energy on. It started out as a fun, part time hobby for all of last year but when I started my work placement with Richard Lynch from I Love Limerick in January I took the opportunity to take a stab at blogging full time! PinkSars is a predominately a fashion & vintage blog (if you hadn’t guessed already) but as I continue to blog I want to share my experiences when I go to different events, countries that I visit and collaborations with other organizations, that I’m very fortunate to have.

I’ve always been a fan of blogging since my early teens; I’ve drawn so much inspiration from bloggers such as, Samantha Maria & Cartia Mallan that I thought why can’t I do the same?! That’s truly is my goal, to write about what I love whether it’s fashion, travel or DJ’ing and my readers can draw inspiration from it to do what they love!

DSC_1415DSC_1442

When it comes to style I’m totally a girly girl at heart but as I’ve drawn older and entered into my twenties my style is really beginning to change. I love sporty looks with Nike Air Max trainers and a long midi skirt, there’s nothing better. Then on the other hand like the look I did for this post, I draw inspiration from Bohemian style icons such as Vanessa Hudgens. I’m experimental with my style and I really love throwing quirky looks together.

I really want to keep growing PinkSars and push myself to really make a go in the industry of fashion & social media. So never hesitate to tell me what kind of posts you’d like me to write about or cool events to go to, I’m so open minded to trying different things & appreciate you guys so much. Having reached 1,000 followers on Instagram, I set up my Snapchat to bring you lovelies with my on shoots like this, you can add me @pinksars. Hope you guys got to know a little more about PinkSars & enjoyed the fashion post too! Till’ next week.

LSAD Graduate Fashion 2016

If you’re following me on Instagram then you’ll have seen that I attended the LSAD Graduate Fashion 2016. My god was I left speechless at the end of the show, the fashion graduates put on the most spectacular event I’ve ever seen.

DSC_1102

Hello Lovelies,

Hope you’ve had an amazing week and soaked up as much as the sun as possible! If you’re following me on Instagram then you’ll have seen that I attended the LSAD Graduate Fashion Show 2016. My god, was I left speechless at the end of the show, the fashion graduates put on the most spectacular event I’ve ever seen. The venue itself blew me away as I’d never been in that part of the art college before. Each collection consisted of 5/6 pieces and were all sourced and made by each graduate. Every collection followed a different theme of their choice as well as music that accentuated the delivery of the collection on the runway. These graduates really blew the crowd away as everyone gasped as the 27 collections as they came out. There was a real intimate feel to the fashion show as the models walked right in front of you, giving a real glimpse at the intricate work of each of the garments.

It was my first ever high fashion show that I’d been to and I can honestly say, I’m hooked. The atmosphere and buzz at the fashion show was on another level as everyone was anticipating the next model to walk past them. I was fortunate enough to attend the show with my mom and extremely talented best friend Mary, who is set to have her collection in the Graduate Fashion Show in 2 years time. This college really has talent seeping through it’s vein and I cannot wait to see what each graduates goes on to do in the future! The graduates really are ones to watch, particularly with the likes of Vogue Italia writer Gemma Williams and Irish Fashion Designer Richard Malone sitting front row of the graduate fashion show.

I’ve only featured a few of the collections in this blog post but you can see all the photos on the I Love Limerick article that I wrote, here. That’s all for now lovelies, hope you enjoyed this post and shall talk again soon.
